Group or one-to-one classes for children
Children learn best through doing or playing. Our classes are designed to get children involved in the language-learning process in the most dynamic, participatory way possible.
To provide an environment where the children feel comfortable and safe, inlingua has created spaces specifically for them. We use interactive techniques, songs and games to boost their confidence in their developing language skills. The combination of our experienced teachers and small group sizes makes for an enriching, effective, immersive experience of learning a second language.

One-on-one classes of English and other languages for children
Our one-on-one language classes are adapted to suit their cognitive, emotional and social development.
Personalised content
Our personalised teaching method ensures that the child makes progress at their own pace and enjoys the process.
Classes are adapted to each child’s abilities and interests. To keep them motivated, the topics and activities are related to their favourite hobbies, characters and stories.
Adapted duration
Classes usually last one hour, but the time is adapted to the child’s attention span.
Focus on play and creativity
Though the focus continues to be on play, as it is an effective learning tool, for children aged up to 10, more structured activities like role play, creative projects and linguistic challenges are introduced.
Activities include educational games, songs, stories, drawing and small projects to keep them interested and make the learning process fun.
Multisensory teaching
We use a wide range of teaching materials that involve sight, hearing and touch. They include visual resources, like images and videos, audio resources, like songs and conversations, and tactile resources like cards and objects to associate words with their meaning.
Emphasis on listening and speaking
At this stage, the emphasis is on developing listening and speaking skills. The children are encouraged to take part in simple conversations, repeat useful phrases and interact verbally in everyday situations. They practise dialogues, learn new vocabulary and improve their pronunciation through conversational activities.
Learning to read and write
As the children grow, they are gradually introduced to reading and writing in the new language, in accordance with their school level. This can simply involve story-reading activities, spelling exercises and word games to strengthen their vocabulary and basic grammar.
Development of confidence and self-esteem
Emphasis is placed on creating a supportive environment where children feel safe to practise the language without fear of making mistakes. Positive reinforcement and patience are key in order to maintain their trust and stimulate their curiosity for the language.
Encouragement of cultural curiosity
As the child grows, cultural content relating to the language can be introduced. This might include customs, traditional songs or local festivals from the countries where the language is spoken, with a view to piquing their cultural curiosity.
These characteristics make these one-on-one classes an attractive, effective and personalised educational experience, where language learning is integrated into their day-to-day life in a natural, fun way.
